Gastown Cocktail Crawl

Sunday, March 1st | 4 PM – 8 PM

L’Abattoir is proud to be part of the Gastown Cocktail Crawl, a journey through the neighbourhood where Vancouver’s cocktail culture began. Walk the cobblestone streets on this guided cocktail adventure featuring Nikka spirits. The journey has guests stopping at four of the neighbourhood’s most distinct bars, Pidgin, L’Abattoir, Clough Club, and Arcana, where you’ll enjoy a unique, crafted cocktail starring the complexity of Nikka spirits at each location. Every drink is perfectly paired with a delicious small food bite, offering an insider’s taste of Gastown’s legendary bar scene.

Sunday School: The Classic Martini

Sunday, March 1st | 7 PM

Join us for a trade-focused deep dive into one of cocktail culture’s most enduring icons, the Martini.

Originally from London, England and now based in Toronto, our invited guest bartender, H brings a career that bridges two of Canada’s most influential cocktail cities. His Vancouver résumé includes Jules Bistro, The Diamond, and Revel Room, and he was named Vancouver Magazine Bartender of the Year (2013). H also runs @baddrinkstv and the long-standing Sunday Bar School, an industry-leading educational series with national reach.

Focusing on the structure, balance, and technique behind the Classic Martini, with a spotlight on Ford’s Gin. Expect practical discussion, historical context, and behind-the-bar insights designed specifically for industry professionals.

Gastown Classics

Monday, March 2nd - 7pm onwards

Following last year’s highly anticipated and much-talked-about debut, the Gastown Classics returns to L’Abattoir, this time, bigger and bolder. Hosted by our talented Bar Manager, Alexa Gervais and her team, we are expanding the celebration to take over both the bar and the dining room for one night only.

We are reuniting a legendary lineup of Gastown alumni - the very talent who built their reputations in this neighbourhood before taking their craft across the city and beyond. Joining guest bartenders Robyn Gray, Adam Domet, Ron Oliver, Emmet Groves, Satoshi Yonemori, Amanda MacMullin, and Conner Joseph, we are thrilled to welcome H, who joins us from XXX in Toronto.

Supported by Fords Gin and Maison Perrier, these industry icons will be showcased throughout the room, allowing guests to engage with each of them and experience their creativity firsthand. Entry and seating is first-come, first-served, so we highly recommend arriving early!
